Valentines Day Tubing!

For Valentine's Day, Cadee and I were invited to go Tubing with Kory and Me' Sis...

On the way there I accidently passed the turn for Soldier Hollow... a second later I see Deana and Kory passing me in the Hummer. I decided to pull off to the side of the road to turn around.

I pulled about 2ft off the road and the front end started sinking down into the snow... I was in a very deep ditch. The ditch was full of snow so it looked like a solid surface. At this point I decided to put it in 4 Low and drive myself out of this sticky situation. Well this just made it worse.. I was sliding further into the ditch and getting deeper down in the snow. Cadee was enjoying the view of the ditch (seeing as she was the one in the ditch side of the vehicle.)

Deana and Kory just happened to turn around and come back to see where I was going.

When Kory saw that I was stuck, he pulled out his magic yellow rope from the back of the Hummer. I had Cadee hop out. I didn't want her to be crushed if the Jeep rolled over. We hooked the back of Jeep to the Hummer and started to back out of the hole. This just made matters worse. The Jeep started sliding further into the ditch.

Next we decided to try pulling the Jeep from the front... Kory pulled in front of me and we reattached the rope. He slowly pulled forward while I steered the jeep through my rutts where I slid in originally. The Jeep came right out of the hole with ease.

Now that we were out of danger, we continued on to Soldier Hollow.

We got changed into our snow clothes, obtained our tickets and headed for the hill.

Thanks Deana and Kory for inviting us!

PS here are some pics.

Jackson, WY

Here are the pictures from Jackson, WY.

I had CaDee come with me to keep me company on my long and boring drive. We had quite a bit of fun!

We took a few photos on the way home. This is the antler archway in the middle of Afton, WY

We stopped to check out the Great Wall of Snow. It was intense... (I won't mention that CaDee almost fell through it when she stood on it..)

The foot hole to prove it...

...CaDee standing on the snow ;)

Having a good time!!

20 minutes after this shot was taken, we were passing through Cokeville, WY... right outside of town I looked in my rear view mirror and saw a police cruiser coming up on me at a high rate of speed. I assumed that he was trying to get to the scene of an accident so I pulled to the side of the road. He proceeded to pull in behind me. I couldn't figure out for the life of me what I was getting pulled over for. He decided to take his sweet time getting to the car.

I got pulled over for accelerating before getting to the next speed limit sign. I rolled through Cokeville at 40 mph (the posted speed). I saw the 65 mph sign about 50 yards ahead. Like a normal person I started to accelerate to get up to 65. I guess this is an illegal thing to do. After the officer gave me a 100 dollar piece of paper he told me I should start paying attention and slow down.. 55 mph in the middle of nowhere sounds like a pretty safe speed to me.. but who am I to judge?

Not too long after being pulled over, CaDee saw a Bald Eagle on the side of the road sitting on a fence post. It was the first time I have seen one up close and personal.

The eagle sat on the post for a little bit before he took off.

Here is a shot of it right before he took off. Unfortunately we couldn't get a wingspan shot.

Well folks, until next time..

Bahamas, sweet, sweet Bahamas...

I recently went to Nassau, Bahamas to setup a client for About Time. In my short 2 days that I was there I had the following experiences.
  1. Interrogation to get passage into the country.
  2. Being on the opposite side of immigration.
  3. Dealing with Customs.
  4. Driving on the left side of the road.
  5. Learning a new form of the English language.
  6. Becoming friends with Tony, a French Foreign Legion soldier. (funny guy)
I had some free time on the day I was flying out, so I took a stroll around the area by my hotel to snap a few quick photos.

I hope you all enjoy :)

The small sign at the entrance of my hotel. A quiet little B&B called Orange Hill. The hostess Sabrina was very nice and soft spoken.

My room was number 26 (Top floor, 3rd from the right). It had a nice view of the pool and the ocean.

Here is the ocean view from my room. Aside from the run down shed and a small pile of junk, it was a very nice view.

I am getting pretty good at self portraits. This is the beach right across from my hotel. One of the nicest beaches I have seen.

I just like this picture. It is a nice shot of the sand and these little pieces of beach crud.

Ain't that a good lookin rock? Yeah that is what I thought.. WHAT.. Bring it.

I left for NC today. I was expecting a normal flight will all of the same boring scenery as every time before. However, today was a little different.

Today as we were leaving the Airport, the plane started to depart from the foggy runway below.

I could not believe my eyes, I wish I had my camera and not just my iphone. The pictures do not do it justice.
